1. Developing
and proposing guideline and mechanisms for the promotion of
women’s potentiality, gender equality, and the stability
of family institution.
2. Promoting
and developing measures and mechanisms involved in the promotion
of women’s potentiality, gender equality and the stability of
family.
3. Providing
academic as well as other resources to support women and family networks
as to promote the development of potentiality, equality and social justice
among women and men and the stability of family institution.
4. Promoting,
supporting and encouraging the implementation of international conventions,
agreements.
5. Promoting
and coordinating actions to protect women’s rights according to law
6. Conducting
researches and development of the body of knowledge on apacity- building,
gender equality and social justice among women and men, as well as the family’s
stability.
7. Developing
standards, together with monitoring and evaluating implementation of missions
in women’s affairs and family development according the specified policies
and measures.
8. Coordinating
information on women’s potentiality promotion, equality, social justice
among women and men and family’s stability.
9. Other
functions specified by law, or assigned by the Mister of Social Development
and Human Security, or the Cabinet, as mandates and functions of the OWAFD.
